Environmental Health is an integral part of protecting the health of the population. It is a rapidly evolving function covering Food Safety, Communicable Disease Control, Environmental Protection, Housing Standards and Health and Safety. The diversity of Environmental Health work means that it provides a career that is both challenging and rewarding.  
 
The Public Health and Protection Department at Rhondda Cynon Taff Council is inviting expressions of interest from two motivated and enthusiastic students who are looking to undertake a period of practical training in Environmental Health. The posts on offer are for the academic year 2010 - 2011 and are expected to commence in September 2010.

Applicants should demonstrate in their Curriculum Vitae that they satisfy all of the essential criteria listed in the 'Person Specification. All suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview at the Public Health and Protection Offices during the last week of February 2010.
