Nature of training opportunity

An assessment of the risk control measures that are in place to control zoonoses insofar as they relate to employees and also to visitors to the premises

Training outcome

An opportunity to assess and evaluate the employer’s risk assessments insofar as they relate to the health, safety and welfare of its employees and volunteers (HS2)

An opportunity to assess the precautions that the employer has taken to reduce the ill-health risk associated with animal contact at a visitor attraction (HS5)

Students will be expected to provide waterproof clothing, strong shoes and wellingtons – other PPE will be provided as necessary
