The science of pest control and how it has evolved is influenced largely by the way in which we live. As climate change effects the seasons, and cities merge into the countryside due to urban sprawl, previous methods will not always be the best way of controlling both traditional and emerging pests.
The importance of pest management has long been recognised in environmental health because of its part in controlling the potential spread of diseases. This informative one day seminar will focus on the main public health pests, giving anyone involved in environmental health an intriguing and useful introduction to the role of pest control.
